Hi Tom, Just a quick note to say thanks for getting me in the race! Lots of puzzled faces when I went to registration but when I mentioned your name everything clicked into place.No clue how I did as no results on web yet but just pleased to have finished in the HOT and almost solitary second half of the race. Certainly was a novelty having the police stop the the traffic just to let me pass through!

This will be my 7th year registering people for Havana's Marabana Marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km race and each year the numbers have grown attracting more runners from around the world. This year should see a greater number of International runners who come to participate, but more important, to experience this unique country and magnificent city. If you are planning to register I would suggest you do this prior to the closing date of October 15, 2011. Registering with cuba1tours is the easiest and safest way of assuring your registration for the Havana marathon. Once you register with cuba1tours you are sent explicit instruction for picking up your Marabana kit and you avoid waiting in lines and all the confusion of being in a large crowd. Hotel accommodations available at your request. If you want to be in Old Havana, close to the race start/finish, you must book EARLY. Some hotels are within a few minutes walking distance of the start/finish of Marabana 2011. All hotels are great quality, and located in one of the most historical regions of Havana. You will be within a short walk to the centre of "Havana Viega" old Havana and surrounded by museums, theaters, restaurants, parks and historical buildings.
