CYCLE TOURS - CENTRAL/WESTERN TOUR

CYCLE TOUR CENTRAL/WEST (REVISED) TBA

Please note that all distances mentioned each day are distances from point of departure to your destination unless mentioned.  A number of variables will determine the actual distance and because we have a bus with bike trailer which I have stop at predetermined distances, you can get on and off when you wish.  All luggage and valuables travel on the bus securely.  All accommodations are the best to be found in the towns/cities we will stay in and will range from 3 to 4 star Cuban ratings.  Your breakfast and dinner is included daily with box lunches where mentioned and we will also have “picnic” lunches when possible and prepared by our bus driver.  You will also be spending three nights at two different all inclusive resorts.
In order to confirm this tour I will need a minimum of 8 people and this before the end of January, 2012.  If you know of any other riders who may be interested, please have them contact me asap by email at tom@cuba1tours.com or call me at 250 334 1675.
Remember, this is more than just cycling Cuba, but an opportunity to discover this unique country.  Hope we can make this cycle tour a go.

CYCLE TOUR – EASTERN CUBA

CYCLE TOUR – EASTERN CUBA – TBA

Both cycle tours I offer have become very popular with growing interest among cyclists. They both take you to the most rural and beautiful areas of Cuba while allowing time to discover the culture, learn about the history and enjoy some cities as well as time to relax on a few of Cuba's magnificent beaches. Although I have listed distances for each day, we will have a bus with a trailer to carry the bikes should you wish to climb aboard if you get tired or the weather is too hot for you. The bus will also carry all luggage and will stop at designated distances for you to replenish water bottles or have a snack (bring your own energy bars, etc.)

You will discover, if you have been to other web sites offering cycle tours to Cuba, that my tours are of the highest quality and the best price. I hope you will read some of the testimonials and if you are thinking of a cycle tour to Cuba that you consider cuba1tours.

The Maximum number I take on this tour is 15 and it is on a first come basis so EARLY BOOKING IS IMPORTANT. Hope to have you along and know you will enjoy it.

Our bus driver also doubles as a mechanic and is most helpful in assembling and reboxing your bikes.

EAST TO WEST CUBA CYCLE TOUR

CUBA CYCLE TOUR EAST TO WEST – TBA

This 2 week tour will have you flying through Toronto (or Montreal) into the eastern city of Holguin, Cuba and cycling east to Cuba’s oldest town, Baracoa, then south and west to Guantanamo and then continually west to our final destination, Cuba’s capital, Havana.  You will depart Cuba from Havana to Toronto (or Montreal).
This tour is limited to 15 so if you are interested and want to book a spot please let me know asap.
You should be a reasonably experienced cyclist to maximize your cycling enjoyment on this tour, but because we will have a modern, air-conditioned bus with a bike trailer with us throughout, you will be able to hop on at any time and ride portions in order to not slow down the rest of the group.  This works well.  All your luggage will be safely stored on the bus while you cycle and will carry a supply of water and will make predetermined stops for replenishment.  The Cuban bus driver also serves as our bike mechanic.
All roads are paved and a few sections will have a fair amount of traffic, but most will be fairly quiet.  There is only one mountainous portion to contend with when we leave Baracoa with the rest being undulating to flat and our..mostly..western portion should have the wind at your back.
All accommodations are the best available in the places we will be staying and all have a/c, private bathrooms and are clean.
I look forward to having you along and this should be a good time of year to prepare you for the Canadian spring/summer cycling season.
I have not included the daily anticipated distances, but would guess at an average of approximately 80 kms and this depends on the climate and cyclists.  When you arrive at your daily destination you should have time to do some exploring and experiencing.
